Latin American history professor pays $1.33M in Queens

Medium 6124040bf6b6e26c49a55823d3b5b538 Eric Zolov, Paul Gordon and Terri Gordon bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 71-31 Harrow St. in Queens from Brian Jones and Laura Anthony Jones for $1.33 million on June 5.

The Joneses paid $1.23 million for the property in December 2009. The 2,157-square-foot home in Forest Hills was built in 1920.

Zolov is an associate professor of Latin American history at the State University of New York-Stony Brook.

He is the author of the book Refried Elvis: The Rise of the Mexican Counterculture (Berkeley: University of California Press, 1999).

He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago.

The Joneses previously sold their home at 67-25 Ingram St. in Queens for $690,000 in November 2009.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 7,100 home sales in Queens during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $410,000.
